Students who are contemplating majoring in mathematics should be aware of the sequential nature of the course offerings. In order for students to plan their programs so that degree requirements may be completed within a four-year period, students should consult with the chairperson of the department or their advisor as soon as possible.
Students seeking licensure as a teacher of mathematics (grades 5-8 or 8-12) must also complete a second major in Secondary Education. Students should consult the Educator Preparation and Licensure Policies and Procedures section of this catalog for professional education admission and retention information and important institutional deadlines.

Complete nine credits of any math (MATH) course at the 300-level or higher, with the exception of MATH 318 - Quantitative Methods for Management and MATH 356 - Statistical Programming in R .
Total minimum credits: 40

A minimum of 120 earned credit hours is required for graduation.
