Dance Minor

The dance minor is an interdisciplinary program in the Departments of Dance and Movement Arts, Health Promotion and Leisure Studies. The objective is to give a solid liberal arts experience in the art of dance. The program includes the study of techniques of various styles of dance, dance history and theory, choreography and production.

Required courses (7 credits)
Dance Theory electives (5-6 credits)
Complete 5-6 credits, selected from the following:
Social dance form electives (1 credit)
Complete one course, selected from the following:
Technique or physical activity electives (7 credits)
Complete seven additional credits from any DANC or DANP one or two-credit courses, except DANC 357 , DANC 358 and DANP 281 .
Total minimum credits: 20
