BIOL 327 - Wetlands Ecology(4 credits) Prerequisite: BIOL 225 with a minimum grade of “C-” or consent of instructor This course is an examination of the composition, structure, function and value of wetland ecosystems in North America. The course constitutes a comparative analysis of characteristic biota and adaptations, hydrological and geochemical processes, and conservation strategies of wetlands through lecture, discussion, field work and direct experimentation. Three hours of lecture and one three-hour laboratory period weekly. Offered alternate fall semesters.
