PHED 381 - Psychology of Exercise and Physical Activity(3 credits) Prerequisite: PHED 117 This course is designed for students interested in the promotion of exercise participation and adherence in a variety of settings (e.g., education, community health, corporate fitness, health clubs, physical rehabilitation). Course content will include: a) psychological theories for understanding and predicting health-oriented exercise behavior; b) psychological and psychobiological responses to exercise; and c) psychological interventions for increasing exercise participation and adherence. Offered fall, spring and summer.
