BIOL 150 - Biology for Life(1 credit) Corequisite: Must be taken concurrently with BIOL 121 This applied course is a companion course for BIOL 121 - General Biology I and is required of all biology majors and minors concurrently taking BIOL 121. Other students enrolled in BIOL 121 are strongly encouraged to take this course. This course will highlight the key concepts discussed in lecture in a friendly environment and reinforce strategies to help students use and retain this information. This fun and exciting course is designed to develop and strengthen the skill sets students need to excel in college (targeting the sciences in particular) and not to just survive college. Under faculty supervision, each section will include Peer Mentors to demonstrate proper note-taking, study skills, testing strategies, and to assist in class assignments and projects. Graded on a (P) Pass/(N) No Pass basis.
