RECR 324 - Recreation for Individuals with Disabilities(4 credits) This course will address etiology, treatment, and functional physical, motor, and behavioral skills of individuals with disabilities. In addition, the course will explore accessible recreational facilities as well as a variety of activity settings, ranging from most restrictive to full inclusion. Special emphasis will be given to individuals with sensory impairments, limited intellectual capacity, neuromuscular disorders, chronic health conditions and unique needs among aging populations. Laboratory experiences will include an exploration of program delivery systems and services. Two hours of lecture and one two-hour laboratory weekly.
