PHIL 302 - Medieval Philosophy(3 credits) Prerequisite: One 100-level and one 200-level course in philosophy; or consent of instructor This course examines selected works of influential thinkers of the middle ages on such problems as the nature of the divine, universals and particulars, the nature of knowledge and truth, faith and reason, morality and society. The Arabic tradition and its relation to the Christian and Jewish traditions will be discussed. Offered alternate years. (CHUM; CWRT)
