Computer Science Minor

Department: Computer Science

Students can declare only one minor among the following three: Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics.

Computer Science Laptop Requirement

All students enrolled in this program are required to own a laptop that meets minimum hardware and software specifications. These specifications are published on the department website.

Course Requirements

Required courses (10 credits)

COMP 151 - Computer Science I *
COMP 152 - Computer Science II
COMP 250 - Data Structures and Algorithms
*COMP 143 - Introduction to Computer Science: Peer Assisted Learning is a 1.0 credit corequisite course that must be taken in the same semester as COMP 151 when completed at BSU.

Electives (9 credits)

Complete three courses, selected from any 300- or 400-level computer science (COMP) course.
