The youth and juvenile justice concentration is designed for criminal justice students interested in a deeper exploration of issues facing youth and juveniles relative to the courts, social services, general policy, and administration of justice, while also gaining an understanding of known causes of delinquency at various levels of theoretical abstraction – in the context of urban crime and or broad gender-related concerns.
