Cape Verdean Studies Minor

The Cape Verdean Studies minor is designed for undergraduate students and seeks to provide students with the necessary academic preparation to better understand the social, cultural and historical contributions of the people of Cape Verde to the local, regional and national contexts of the U.S.
The minor is interdisciplinary so as to provide a broad range of knowledge covering such academic areas as language, culture and education.

The following electives were chosen as possible choices among the courses offered in different departments. The electives include the study of a broad array of courses focusing on cultural and/or multicultural issues, and on areas of study that have a significant impact on immigrant populations.
