The Online Course Design Graduate Certificate Program is designed to build competencies so that completers can successfully create high-quality online learning environments to deliver content to a specific audience. The courses build skills so that learners can intentionally design relevant, rigorous and coherent learning environments that:
- Build on relationships and communication
- Are inclusive and accessible
- Apply research and evidence-based teaching practices reflecting principles of cognitive psychology, learning theories and scientific research
- Include active learning through engaging instructional modules with assessment tools
- Create feedback loops to measure progress and completion of learning outcomes
- Integrate all ISTE education standards as defined by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE)

Admission Requirements
All applicants who wish to enroll in the Online Course Design Graduate Certificate Program will follow the standardized procedure for completing the graduate school application forms required for admission to all graduate certificate programs. A bachelor’s degree is required for admission to the program. Rolling admission for fall, spring and summer enrollment. Applications should be complete to allow adequate time for processing before the start of the semester (usually six weeks prior to the beginning of classes).

Program Requirements
Students must have a camera and microphone on their laptop/mobile device to participate in discussions.
