Health Science, Pre-Physical Therapy Concentration, BS

Students who wish to pursue the profession of physical therapy may only do so at the graduate level. By majoring and successfully completing the Health Science, Pre-Physical Therapy concentration and mindful advising, students make themselves eligible to apply for a postbaccalaureate degree in physical therapy.

Admission Requirements
To be eligible to declare a concentration in the Health Studies major, a student must have completed a minimum of 45 credits with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in all HLSC courses, as well as maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.0. Students should consult with the department chairperson to apply for the concentration.
Grade Requirements
To continue progress in the concentration, a student must:
- be in good academic standing
- maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA in all HLSC courses
- maintain a minimum overall 3.0 GPA throughout their academic program

A minimum of 120 earned credit hours is required for graduation.
