Digital Technology for Educators, Graduate Certificate


Department: Secondary Education and Professional Programs 

This nine-credit certificate program is designed to meet the professional development needs of individuals in educational settings. Current students include PreK-12 teachers who want to learn how to better use technology in their classrooms. Upon completion of the nine credit program, students are awarded a graduate certificate in Digital Technology for Educators by the College of Graduate Studies.

Note: This certificate program does not lead to a license as an Instructional Technology Teacher in Massachusetts. However, some courses may be transferred to the postbaccalaureate licensure program.

Admission Requirements


Applicants must meet the below criteria in order to be admitted into the graduate certificate program by the College of Graduate Studies and the College of Education and Health Sciences. Certificate candidates must be matriculated prior to taking their second course in the program.

Admission decisions to the graduate certificate program are made on a rolling basis.

Upon successful completion of the graduate certificate program, students may apply to the postbaccalaureate program in Instructional Technology. Only those courses identified (*) above are eligible for transfer into that program.
