Geography, Applied Geography Concentration, BS

The Applied Geography concentration meets the needs of students seeking careers in government, business and non-profit organizations and for students who wish to pursue a graduate degree in geography. An appropriate sequence of courses enables students to acquire a geographic perspective and the spatial interdependence of human and environmental phenomena.

Global language elective (0-9 credits)
Students are required to demonstrate proficiency in a language other than English at the intermediate level. This requirement may be met with the completion of a course at the intermediate level or through a waiver based on showing intermediate proficiency of any language other than English. The languages currently offered at BSU at the intermediate level are:

Core Curriculum Requirements
A minimum of 120 earned credit hours is required for graduation.
