Learning Outcomes   

Grade Requirement

Students must receive a minimum grade of “C” in a LASP designated course (LASP 200 and above) for the course to count for the Spanish major.

To qualify for graduation with a degree in Spanish, the student must have a minimum major grade point average (GPA) of 2.3.

Course Requirements

Literature electives (9 credits)

Complete three courses, selected from the courses listed below. A minimum of three credits must be taken from Spain electives, and a minimum of three credits must be taken from Spanish America electives.


SACHEM consortium courses and study abroad courses are available for transfer purposes. See the Undergraduate Academic Policies and Procedures  section of this catalog for further information.

The Spanish major sequence is not available in the evening hours.

Total minimum credits: 36

A minimum of 120 earned credit hours is required for graduation.
