                  ELED 360 - Teaching in a Standards-Based, Inclusive Elementary Classroom(3 credits)  Prerequisite: Admission to the Professional Education Program and passing scores on all appropriate MTEL®: Communication and Literacy, Foundations of Reading and General Curriculum This course explores ways to plan, teach and assess in a standards-based, inclusive classroom. Topics include standards-based curriculum development, constructivism, education evaluation, and assessment (including the design of a professional teaching portfolio). Classroom-based “inclusive” models and teaching strategies and professional teaching standards will be examined.    Offered either semester.
