This field-based experience is used to contextualize topics and issues including typical and atypical child development, learning theories, diversity, develop-mentally-appropriate practices, teaching models and approaches, professional teaching standards and critical issues related to teaching and child growth and development. This course prepares students to apply for admission into both the teaching licensure and Early Education and Care programs.
