GEOL 250 - Geomorphology(4 credits) Prerequisite: GEOL 225 This course examines the natural processes that control the development of earth’s surface topography on many different scales. The role on internal processes such as tectonics is explored in addition to surface processes related to the action of rivers, glacial ice, wind, waves, currents and tides. Laboratory work focuses on the identification and interpretation of land-forms on topographic maps. Two hours of lecture and one four-hour laboratory weekly. Offered fall semester.
