CRJU 550 - Juvenile Justice and Society(3 credits) Prerequisite: CRJU 500, which may be taken concurrently This course provides an overview of juvenile delinquency and the juvenile justice system. It covers various theories of juvenile delinquency and examines their relations to broader sociological and criminological theories. Other topics include the development of the juvenile justice system, the police handling of juveniles, the role of juvenile courts, and juvenile corrections and rehabilitation.
