COMP 405 - Introduction to Database Systems(3 credits) Prerequisite: COMP 330, completed with a grade of “C-” or higher; and MATH 130 This course includes physical data organization; the hierarchical, network and relational data models; design theory for relational database, data dependencies, normal forms and preventing loss of information; query optimization; and integrity and security of databases. Students will implement applications on a relational database system. May be taken for graduate-level credit.
