BIOL 422 - Biological Evolution(3 credits) Prerequisite: BIOL 321 with a minimum grade of “C-” or consent of instructor This course covers the theory of evolution and the operation of evolutionary forces as related to modern taxonomy, with emphasis on such topics as mutation, variation, hybridization, ployploidy, isolation, natural selection and population genetics. Three hours of lecture weekly. Offered alternate years, spring semester. May be taken for graduate-level credit.
