 |  ARTS 280 - Jewelry Design and Metal Forms(3 credits)Prerequisite: ARTS 140 or consent of instructor
 This course offers a progressive, hands-on introduction to the basic techniques for the design and fabrication of jewelry and small three-dimensional metal forms using copper, silver, gold and other alloys. Through the development of individual projects, students will learn techniques involving: sawing, piercing, filing, ring design, stone setting, forging and lost wax casting.   Six hours per week.
