POLI 510 - Introduction to Research in Public Administration(3 credits) Prerequisite: POLI 501; or consent of instructor and MPA program coordinator This course is an examination of basic research methods and their use in public administration both from the standpoint of public policy and public management. Topics covered include the scientific method, experimental and quasi-experimental research designs, sampling and methods of data collection such as interviewing and questionnaire construction. The course provides students with practical experience using computer software for data analysis.
