MATH 105 - Selected Topics in Mathematics

(3 credits)
Prerequisite: Mathematics placement test or MATH 090 with a minimum grade of “S” or MATH 095 with a minimum grade of “S”
The nature and process of mathematical thinking (inductive, deductive, and algorithmic), as well as applications and results, are the underlying components of this course. Possible topics to be explored include sets, logic, number theory, geometry, graph theory and probability. A selection of three or more such topics will be offered each semester.
