GEOL 240 - Hydrology(4 credits) Prerequisite: GEOL 225 This course examines the hydrologic cycle, including precipitation, infiltration, evaporation, transpiration, stream flow and ground-water flow. The laboratory will focus on field measurements with an emphasis on modeling of groundwater flow from a physical and chemical perspective. Basic water laws and regulations, as well as contamination issues are also reviewed. Two hours of lecture and one four-hour laboratory weekly. Offered spring semester. (Formerly EASC 240)
