CRJU 420 - Advanced Research Methods in Criminal Justice(3 credits) Prerequisite: CRJU 201 and CRJU 202 and CRJU 287 and CRJU 410 This is an advanced course in criminal justice research, designed to develop students’ ability to construct and analyze quantitative or qualitative research. The course introduces a variety of research techniques including survey instruments, field research, interviewing, content analysis, sampling strategies, experimental designs, and program evaluation commonly practiced in the field of criminal justice/criminology. Additionally, ethical standards will be emphasized in the practice of preparing IRB (Institutional Review Board) applications.
