CYBF 350 - System Security

(3 credits)
Prerequisite: COMP 206 with a minimum grade of “C-“
The course discusses the organization, structure and design of operating systems with an emphasis on security, protection and intrusion detection. Topics may include concurrency, I/O, memory management and protection, file system and file system security, embedded hardware and hardware security. Projects will include C programming projects to develop secure operating system components and analyzing weaknesses in existing systems. Offered annually. Additional fee required.
