ENGL 206 - Sustainability: Reading and Writing the Environment(3 credits) Prerequisite: ENGL 102 Writers from the beginning of history have sought to understand and shape our relationship to the environment. In our own time, the sustainability of this relationship has emerged as one of humanity’s central issues. Students in this course will read a diverse range of environmental texts and use writing to explore their own relationship to the environment we share. Students can expect to read widely and write at least fifteen pages of prose in a variety of critical, creative and research modes. Offered annually. (CDSJ; CHUM; CWRT)
