GEOG 415 - GIS Applications in Environmental Planning

(3 credits)
Prerequisite: GEOG 213
This advanced-level Geographic Information Systems (GIS) course provides students with an overview of the environmental applications of GIS technologies in natural resource management, land use planning, and biodiversity conservation. Key topics include geodatabase management, network analysis, spatial statistics, and imagery modeling. This course is designed to equip students with some of the essential skillsets applicable to environmental GIS roles in the government, environmental consulting, telecommunications, and education sectors.
