BIOL 343 - Approaches to Environmental Sciences(3 credits) Prerequisite: BIOL 225 with a minimum grade of “C-” or consent of instructor This course will cover intermediate to advanced concepts and applications of environmental sciences. Topics include the scientific foundation of sustainability, wise use of natural resources, and scientific principles in natural resource management. This course will also examine key global and national environmental issues and science-based actions that can be taken to mitigate or manage such issues. Offered alternate spring semesters.
