ARTS 378 - Book Arts III

Prerequisite: ARTS 358 with a minimum grade of “C-” or consent of instructor
Students will use learned binding techniques to create unique approaches to conveying content. They will explore their own thematic interests in approaching mixed media and sculptural works with an emphasis on color. Students will also maintain an art journal to record sketches, ideas, technical processes and outcomes. Students will complete a portfolio that includes complex artist books in which structure and content are cohesive. Offered annually. Additional fee required.
