BIOL 265 - Genetics

Prerequisite: BIOL 121 with a minimum grade of “C-“; and BIOL 122 with a minimum grade of “C-” which may be taken concurrently; and BIOL 123 with a minimum grade of “C-” which may be taken concurrently; and CHEM 131 or CHEM 141 which may be taken concurrently; or consent of instructor
Corequisite: BIOL 265L

This course presents basic principles underlying heredity, experimental approaches in model systems, and the mechanisms involved in replication, recombination, mutation, variation and expression of genetic material. Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly. Offered fall semester. Additional fee required.
