ARTS 361 - Graphic Design II

(3 credits)
Prerequisite: ARTS 104 with a minimum grade of “C-” and ARTS 125 with a minimum grade of “C-” and ARTS 130 with a minimum grade of “C-” and ARTS 140 with a minimum grade of “C-” and ARTS 260 with a minimum grade of “C-“; and either ARTH 103 with a minimum grade of “C-” or ARTH 104 with a minimum grade of “C-“; or consent of instructor
This course is a more advanced study of design and typography that introduces students to research and content development with a focus on design process. With emphasis on form, communication and problem-solving, projects grow in scope and complexity. Various branches of the graphic design process will be explored, including lettering, information graphics, publication design, letterpress printing and interactive media. Meets six hours weekly. Offered spring semester. Additional fee required.
