LAJA 235 - Japanese Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)

Prerequisite: LAJA 102 or LAJA 151 or LAJA 172, which may be taken concurrently; or consent of instructor
This course is designed to enable students to engage with peers in Japan in collaborative learning online. The cross-cultural collaboration encourages student ownership of the learning process, making the classroom experience more culturally responsive and inclusive. Centering international cross-cultural interaction, this course offers synchronous and/or asynchronous virtual exchange with students in Japan on a regular basis throughout the semester. Repeatable: may earn a maximum of six credits. Offered annually. (CGCL; CHUM)
