(3 credits)
Prerequisite: One 100-level, three-credit course in philosophy or CRIT 111
This course provides a framework for thinking about happiness and life’s meaning by considering such questions as: What is happiness and how can it be attained? Is happiness the main, or only, goal in living a good life? Does life have a meaning? Is living morally a condition of having a good life? How are happiness and life’s meaning affected by emotion, desire, reason, pleasure, suffering and death? Offered periodically. (CHUM)
