ARTS 230 - Painting I

Prerequisite: ARTS 125 with a minimum grade of “C-” and ARTS 130 with a minimum grade of “C-“; or consent of instructor
This course will provide students with an understanding of the technical foundations of the discipline, such as the importance of underpainting, mixing, blending, building form and painting techniques. Through specific exercises and assignments, students will gain a greater understanding of color theory and its importance in imagery development. Meets six hours weekly. Offered annually. Additional fee required.
