GEOG 223 - Weather and Climate(3 credits)
Prerequisite: GEOG 121, which may be taken concurrently; or consent of instructor
This course introduces the scientific fundamentals of weather systems and how Earth’s climate system operates to produce storms and regional patterns of climate. Students will learn how the Sun’s energy, global wind patterns, airmasses and fronts produce weather events and climate extremes by actively tracking weather patterns at different locations around the world.
