MUSC 263 - Music of India(3 credits)
This course will help broaden the musical horizons of students beyond western classical music. Students will learn to identify some of the distinct characteristics of Indian classical music as well as be exposed to a wide variety of folk music embedded in the country’s multicultural fabric. In the process, students will be exposed to diverse cultural aspects from various parts of the country. Offered fall and spring semesters. (CFPA; CGCL; CSPI)
