MATH 650 - Probability

Prerequisite: Admission to the MS program in Mathematics or consent of instructor
This course provides a rigorous introduction to the fundamentals of probability theory and its applications. Topics covered include basic combinatorics, probability axioms, conditional probability and independence, random variables, discrete and absolute continuous distributions, expectation, joint distributions, conditional distributions and expectation, laws of large numbers and the central limit theorem. Offered alternate years.
