MATH 517 - Functions of a Complex Variable

(3 credits)
Prerequisite: Admission to the MS program in Mathematics or consent of instructor
This course is an introduction to the theory of functions of one complex variable. Topics include the algebra and geometry of complex numbers, limits and derivatives of complex functions, analytic and harmonic functions, elementary functions of a complex variable, contour integrals, power series, residues and poles, and conformal mapping. Offered alternate years.
