MATH 615 - Linear Algebra(3 credits) Prerequisite: Admission to the MS program in Mathematics or consent of instructor Linear Algebra provides a rigorous introduction to advanced topics in linear algebra. Topics covered in the course will include (finite and infinite-dimensional) vector spaces, linear transformations, determinants, eigenvalues, diagonalization, inner product spaces and Jordan canonical forms. Generally, the emphasis will be on concepts rather than computations. Offered alternate years.
