ELED 451 - Teaching All Learners Grades 1-6: Field Experience III(1 credit) Prerequisite: ELED 344 and ELED 360 and ELED 375
Corequisite: ELED 414 and ELED 421 and ELED 430 Teacher candidates continue to build upon skills developed during Field Experiences I and II through participation in a field experience consisting of direct engagement with elementary students in authentic instructional settings. Teacher candidates will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge of diverse learners, learning theories, classroom management, social emotional learning, varied instructional strategies, assessment strategies and differentiation of instruction with diverse learners in small and whole group settings. Teacher candidates will continue to refine their teaching using reflective practices and feedback on their teaching. Field placements will be off-campus in public elementary schools serving students of diverse populations. Teacher candidates will be required to submit a Criminal Offenders Record Information (CORI) and fingerprints to the school district in which they are placed. Offered fall and spring semesters.
