PHSC 502 - Science Inquiry Epistemic Frameworks(3 credits)
The goal of this course is to help in-service physics teachers acquire pedagogical content knowledge and skills that are necessary to teach physical science for understanding, appreciation and interest by all learners. The course includes the analysis of the high school physics, chemistry and earth science curriculum and state standards, and a detailed development of teaching strategies for topics applicable to the specific physical science content area(s) taught. Students will learn how to teach physical science using research validated, inquiry based epistemic frameworks. Offered alternate years.
