MATH 488 - Internship in Statistics(1-12 credits)
Prerequisite: MATH 202 and an overall minimum GPA of 2.8 and a minimum Mathematics major GPA of 2.8; consent of department chairperson; formal application required
This non-classroom experience is intended to give students workplace experiences in statistics, data analysis, and/or data science through internships or external projects. This course offers an opportunity for students to integrate the statistical knowledge and programming skills developed in their course work with practical work experiences. Repeatable for different topics: may earn a maximum of 12 credits. Offered annually.
