PHED 177 - Theory and Practice of Outdoor Education Programs(2 credits)
This course provides students with a model for planning and developing outdoor education programs that emphasize the development of self and others in an outdoor environment. This course provides students with an understanding of the theoretical foundations of outdoor education. Students will study myriad benefits of outdoor education and plan, conduct and reflect on a novel outdoor education activity. Students will practice designing and presenting educational experiences in, for and about the outdoors. Offered annually.
