SPED 115 - Introduction to Cross-Age Peer Mentoring(3 credits)
This course will introduce students to the role of mentoring youth in schools, community programs, non-profits and other initiatives involved in serving children, adolescents and young adults. The course will help guide students as they work in the context of a mentoring relationship with public school students. The course will prepare students for the mentoring they will do in future careers in public schools or non-profit youth organizations. The course will be writing intensive, including lesson plans and written reflections. Offered fall and spring semesters.
