MUSC 380 - Curriculum and Assessment in Music Education(3 credits)
Prerequisite: MUSC 210 and MUSC 276; or consent of instructor
This course advances the students understanding of curriculum design and the assessment of student learning in the K-12 classroom and rehearsal halls. Music education candidates will design curriculum, plan instruction and create formative and summative assessments appropriate for K-12 classroom and large ensemble settings. Twenty hours of observation in a K-12 public school music setting is required. Offered alternate fall semesters.
