HIST 445 - United States History: The Civil War(3 credits)
Prerequisite: Any two of the following courses: HIST 111, HIST 112, HIST 131, HIST 132, HIST 221, HIST 222; or consent of instructor
Background and causes of the Civil War, the military and naval aspects. Civil War music, art, and literature; diplomacy of the Civil War; the home front in the war; the plans for reconstruction; and military reconstruction. Offered alternate years May be taken for graduate-level credit.
