GEOG 222 - Online Climate Studies(3 credits) Earth’s climate is defined by average and extreme weather patterns and it changes by natural processes on Earth and by the collective activities of society. This course uses activities developed by the American Meteorological Society to help you understand how climate differs globally and changes with time. What you learn in this course will allow you to become a climate literate person on a path leading to local and global-scale solutions, devising and implementing strategies for sustainable development, and long-term stewardship of Earth. The course explores how human energy use, agriculture and policy interact to alter climates around the world and how society can respond to these climate disruptions. Offered fall and spring semesters. (CNSN)
