ECED 421 - Science Inquiry, Technology and Engineering Education for All PK-2 Learners(3 credits) Prerequisite: ECED 342 and ECED 361 and ECED 375
Corequisite: ECED 414 and ECED 430 and ECED 451 This standards-based course will engage students in hands-on learning of science and engineering concepts and train students to create, critique, and implement developmentally appropriate and accessible science and engineering lessons and units for the wide range of PK-2 learners. Students will be introduced to science and engineering practices and they will learn to integrate technology and literacy strategies into their instruction. This course prioritizes equity-based, culturally responsive practices that are designed to reduce bias in teacher practice. Offered fall and spring semesters. (Formerly ECED 311)
